EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

NATIONAL FFA FOUNDATION

 

JOB SUMMARY

At a time when FFA membership is at a high with 506,000 members, this executive will assume responsibility for all management, development and partnership fundraising operations located at the FFA Center in Indianapolis, Indiana. This position will provide fundraising leadership and build on its successes, including raising more than $14.5M from over 3,000 donors. This position is responsible for providing leadership and direction at the physical organizational level for the operations and staff of the National FFA Foundation.  The executive director will work closely with the President of the Trustees and the Board of Trustees in setting, monitoring, evaluating, and reporting the strategies and objectives for the Foundation in addition to accomplishment of the board policies and will be accountable for their successful achievement. This position will also ensure the development of a balanced budget as well as close monitoring and reporting.  In co-operation with the President of the Trustees and Executive Secretary, it will co-ordinate all Board of Trustees and related meetings. This position will direct all operations of a staff of 20 employees serving 50 state FFA associations, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, and 7,429 local FFA chapters.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

*Master's degree, or equivalent 

*Professional fund-raising designations preferred

*Over ten years previous experience in fundraising; to include, corporate, individual philanthropic, estate planning, capital campaign and regional and national campaigns

*Over ten years previous experience in management and supervision, financial management, and visioning 

*Agricultural education background preferred
