Position: Director of Prospect Research
Organization: Savannah College of Art and Design

SCAD seeks a development leader for the role of director of prospect research. The director will serve as a member of the development team in support of the fundraising goals of the university. This individual identifies, researches and presents significant information on foundations, corporations and individuals for development purposes; develops and implements policies and procedures relative to prospect research; and plans and authorizes expenditures for resources used in prospect research within the approved budget.

The work is focused on three major initiatives. The prospect research program focuses on the qualification and identification of prospects at the major prospect level, with an emphasis on major gift prospects. The prospect management program focuses on the development of policies and procedures for prospect tracking and management that support a fully integrated system of fundraising. The data management and analysis program focuses on the compilation analysis and presentation of data about the prospect pool and fundraising at SCAD to inform and support strategic planning at the individual, department and division level. The candidate selected for this role will have demonstrated strong leadership in the complete life cycle of prospect development. It is expected that this individual will bring with them contacts and existing networks so the candidate will hit the ground running. Candidate must have at least a bachelor's degree (master's degree preferred) and five years in development with progressive responsibilities.
