The mission of the Montana State University Foundation is to advance the teaching, applied research and public service endeavors of Montana State University-Northern by generating private contributions to supplement the institution's state and federal revenues for capital, operating, and student assistance funds. The Foundation is the catalyst and conduit through which gifts and endowment income flow to provide immediate and long-term support for the University and all of its programs.

The Executive Director of the Foundation plans, administers, and evaluates the University's fund raising programs, including major gifts, special events, annual fund-raising, planned gifts and in-kind contributions. Key responsibilities include the identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of donors and partnership with the Foundation Board of Trustees, Chancellor, senior management and marketing to achieve these objectives.

Bachelor's degree required; master's degree preferred. Experience with charitable giving and fundraising or experience in a related field required. Must possess strong organizational and planning skills, excellent written and communication skills, and the ability to work with diverse types of people. Must have the ability to define goals and take initiative while working collaboratively in a team environment.
