SCAD seeks a director of foundation relations. The director is responsible for the identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of private foundations and corporate foundations that can, or already do, support SCAD. The person in this position develops strategy with the executive director of institutional advancement to enhance the university's relationship with private and corporate foundations and select individual major gifts prospects. The director of foundation relations serves as a central clearinghouse for all philanthropic grant requests and ensures a high level of quality in the content of those proposals. The ideal candidate will have a proven tract record of successful management and cultivation of grants and foundation support for large nonprofit institutions and/or universities. A B.A. is required and a M.B.A. or other master's degree work is preferred. At least five years of grantwriting and foundations work also required.
