The Oliver Scholars Program: Senior Associate Director of Development

The Oliver Scholars Program is a non-profit organization that promotes social equity by introducing extraordinary New York City students of African American and Latino descent and their families into a community of supportive educators, sponsors and peers who champion them on a transformative lifetime journey pursuing excellence in scholarship, leadership and service and provide the access and opportunity to work for the benefits of an independent school education and the college education that follows.

The Oliver Scholars Program seeks an energetic, entrepreneurial and experienced fundraising professional to serve as their senior associate director of development, responsible for all individual fundraising for this organization. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated track-record in establishing and growing an annual giving program, planning and implementing small donor cultivation events and working to educate and involve board members in engagement and fundraising endeavors. This position reports to the executive director of the Oliver Scholars Program and works closely with the board of trustees to provide strategic fundraising leadership; plan and successfully raise over $1.5M through the Oliver Scholars Annual Fund, while consistently building a constituent base; and develop a strategy for fundraising growth and enhanced visibility of the program. A bachelor's degree, fundraising experience and passion for the profession and social equity are required; familiarity with Raiser's Edge is a plus. This is a full-time position with a competitive salary and advancement opportunities.
