A New York City based educational nonprofit organization seeks a web savvy Development and Marketing Director to develop and implement its fundraising goals and marketing efforts for its local and national programs. The Development and Marketing Director will work with the External Affairs team to develop compelling materials for multiple audiences, including potential and current funders and clients, media and other key stakeholders.

The successful candidate is a talented writer and creative thinker who is comfortable working both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment; possesses formidable project management skills and keen attention to detail; and welcomes the opportunity to contribute to a growing organization with a high media profile and national reach.

Reporting to the Executive Vice President of External Affairs, the Development and Marketing Director will:

· Develop, implement and document the organization's fundraising and marketing goals and strategies,

· Conduct prospect research,

· Research and write grant proposals,

· Plan and draft funder reports ,

· Collaborate with program staff to insure that program activities and expenditures meet funding requirements, and

· Develop general and targeted marketing materials for multiple audiences.
