Our mission is the conservation of nature. Our work is driven by a passion for the natural world, grounded in science, and shaped by an understanding that addressing human needs is critical to successful long-term conservation. To meet this challenge, we employ methods that are as varied as the challenge demands-from creating and strengthening parks and protected areas to weaving conservation into the fabric of local economic development, from protecting endangered species to influencing global environmental policies.

World Wildlife Fund (WWF) is the U.S. affiliate of the international WWF network, which has national organizations or representatives in more than 50 countries and works in more than 100 countries. This worldwide presence, supported by more than 1 million members in the United States, has made it possible to sponsor more than 2,000 projects in 116 countries.

WWF directs its conservation efforts toward three global goals: protecting endangered spaces, saving endangered species and addressing global threats. From working to save the giant panda, tiger, and rhino to helping establish and manage parks and reserves worldwide, WWF has been a conservation leader for 40 years.

We seek to save a planet, a world of life. Reconciling the needs of human beings and the needs of others that share the Earth, we seek to instill in people everywhere a discriminating yet unabashed reverence for nature and to balance that reverence with a profound belief in human possibilities. From the smallest community to the largest multinational organization, we seek to inspire others who can advance the cause of conservation.

We aspire to be the voice for those creatures who have no voice. We seek to apply the wealth of our talents, knowledge, and passion to making the world wealthier in life, in spirit, and in living wonder of nature.

The most valuable assets in achieving our mission are our employees. WWF's core values are:

Results: Above all we are committed to achieving conservation results

Integrity: We are honest, responsible and accountable within WWF and with others

Respect: As a global, multicultural organization we value and expressly recognize the unique skills and perspectives of our employees, supporters, and the partners and communities in which we work.
