As the world's largest Bible translation organization Wycliffe Bible Translators' language development work impacts the efforts of countless other community efforts, relief organizations and governments. The "value added" impact includes: improved literacy rates, better health care, enhanced government relations and more. Bible translation itself is foundational to the ministries of evangelism, church planting and discipleship.

Wycliffe Bible Translators is an international association of organizations that--for the past 65 years--has been dedicated to making God's Word accessible to all people in the language that is most meaningful to them. Of the world's 6.5 billion people, 193 million currently do not have access to Scripture that is understandable or meaningful to them. Although a secondary national language may be spoken, understanding deep, meaningful concepts comes from the language learned in the family home-the heart language.

In 1999 Wycliffe formally adopted a vision of seeing Bible translations underway in all languages needing translation by the year 2025. That goal--known as Vision 2025--is leveraging Wycliffe's tried-and-true language development techniques with technology advances to expedite Bible translations.
