Gabriela Fitz co-founded IssueLab, a Chicago group that archives, distributes and promotes research produced by nonprofit organizations. Susan Parker founded Clear Thinking Communications, a St. Johnsbury, Vt., communications firm that works with nonprofit organizations, government agencies, and businesses. Previously Mr. Parker was a foreign correspondent for Time magazine and the San Francisco Chronicle. Marc van Bree is a public affairs associate at Chapin Hall, an independent policy research center at the University of Chicago. Previously Mr. van Bree worked as a publicist at the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, and an assistant account executive at Carol Fox & Associates, a Chicago public-relations firm.
