November 03, 2009 NAACP Chief Promotes Expansion of Group's ConstituencyBenjamin Todd Jealous, who took the helm last year of the century-old civil-rights group the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, is leading efforts to expand the organization’s reach beyond its core constituency of African Americans, according to The Washington Post. The NAACP, which has 2,200 chapters, now includes under its umbrella a group comprising Bangladeshi Americans in Hamtramck, Mich.; chapters in Seattle and San Jose headed by Southeast Asians; and groups in the Southwest that include Latinos and Native Americans. The Post article highlights a chapter in a Maine prison made up mostly of white men. Read The Chronicle’s recent profile of Mr. Jealous. Great idea. Take an obsolete organization, reinvent its constituency, put someone at the helm who so misunderstands the case for transparency that he won’t disclose his salary (I wonder if he’ll omit it from the 990), so it can help engineer the election of more fine upstanding citizens (if he actually is) like our corrupt, radical, anti-American, racist, Marxist President.

Poor Joel. I’m conservative on some issues too but there is no need for fear mongering. Have you even studied Marxism or are you just posting sound bites from Fox News and Rush Limbaugh? If you can pull yourself from the far right sites, please visit www.timwise.org. He is from the Caucasian race and he is a male just like you.
By the way, President Obama is bi-racial, are you? Or, are you the race of the the town hall protestors, tea baggers, and Republicans in Congress? Unlike some people, I’m not going to be quick to label those in opposition to my views as racist. But, I do find it odd that the group of radical Obama opponents lack racial and ethnic diversity. Have you noticed that too?

Buncha dummies out there. Hadassah and other eastern jewish Eropean charities long ago went beyond their personal boundaries. Like the dummies who put their foot in thei mouth, there aree those who want them to stay on the range.

If the NAACP really wants to extend its life by building a larger empire to swell its ranks and fill its coffers (isn’t that the idea?), it should rechristen itself the National Association for the Advancement of Chinese People. What a massive membership roster they’d have, and keep in mind, too, that the Chinese have all of our money.
What a jackpot. Then the execs can pay themselves even higher salaries for doing absolutely nothing in the best interests of the people they were meant to serve. It might even surpass ACORN in size and uselessness.
