Government and Politics Watch

Among the highlights from The Chronicle’s Government and Politics Watch:

In a controversial move, the president of the March of Dimes delivered Sunday’s weekly Democratic radio address to appeal for support of the State Children’s Health Insurance Program bill in Congress.

The Senate Finance Committee plans to hold a hearing next week on nonprofit hospitals and requirements for charity care.
