From The Chronicle: Arts Groups and the Recession

As social services become a priority for donors amid the recession, many arts and cultural organizations are laying off staff members, scaling back on programs — and even facing the possibility of closing, according to The Chronicle of Philanthropy. And a new report shows that nearly 80 percent of cultural groups in New York City have made cuts or other changes because of the recession, says The Chronicle.
