From The Chronicle: IRS Urged to Investigate University

Americans United for Separation of Church and State, a civil-liberties watchdog group in Washington, is asking the Internal Revenue Service to investigate Liberty University after the university dropped its official recognition of a student Democratic Party club, The Chronicle of Philanthropy reports. Liberty University, in Lynchburg, Va., was founded by the late Rev. Jerry Falwell.

Comments

  1. Another case of double standards. If the situation had been reversed and the campus Republican club had its charter pulled, does anyone think we would have heard a peep out of the AUSCS? Not likely!! They are just another extension of the looney left fringe of the Democratic party.

  2. What a joke to call themselves “Liberty” University. The last thing these Christain goons care about is their members’ or anyone else’s civil liberties. Its just one more totalitarian regime of mind control. Power to the heart not the good book. Abortion, marriage, gay rights, human rights are above and beyond religious demagoguery. When will they learn and leave the rest of us alone. Power to liberty, real liberty.
