  2. Many thanks for posting the transcript. Is it possible for Mark Shamley to summarize his response to Luciana Bonifacio-Sette, Save the Children re best practices/case studies? I’m sure many of us would find that invaluable.
[Q: During these lean times, it is more important than ever to secure unrestricted, general operations support. Could you point to some best practices on proposals or case studies for partnerships that succeeded in providing this type of support while meeting the company’s investment goals?

Mark Shamley responded: Luciana, thank you for your question. In the context of this online discussion I’m afraid it would be difficult to appropriately address your question. I would like to suggest that we discuss off-line as best practices and case studies will require a more in-depth conversation.]

  3. It’s great to see continued commitment by these companies. Especially as every dollar counts, I hope we will consider international involvement more and more. Here, the corporate dollar goes so much further — $25 can help start a business in microfinance, or send a child to school.

As corporate foundations realize this impact, we may see more involvement. It’s very similar to how high networth donors are viewing the impact of their giving: More can be done internationally. Your dollar goes further.
