New Philanthropies Court Prosperous Indian-Americans

Last year's earthquake in the Indian state of Gujarat, which killed thousands of people and left tens of thousands homeless, prompted an outpouring of support from around the world to aid the survivors and help them rebuild. The magnitude of the disaster also managed to shift the philanthropic landscape among Indian-Americans.
