Assets at donor-advised funds rose by more than 20%

The buoyant stock market caused assets of the nation's largest donor-advised funds to grow by a median of more than 20 percent from 2004 to 2005, the largest gain since 2001, according to a new Chronicle survey. That figure tops the 15-percent increase from 2003 to 2004.
