Retired Money Manager Pledges $147-Million to Four Organizations

Robert W. Wilson, a retired New York hedge-fund manager, has pledged a total of $146.7-million to four groups if they can raise at least that amount.

The beneficiaries are the World Monuments Fund, Environmental Defense, the Wildlife Conservation Society, and the Nature Conservancy.
