Report Warns About Drop in Support for Arts Groups

Giving by corporations to arts groups dropped by 65 percent from 2000 to 2005, a sharp indicator of a widespread trend of eroding philanthropic support for arts and cultural organizations, says a new report. And while giving to all charities increased 6.1 percent from 2004 to 2005, giving to the arts decreased 3.4 percent over the same period.
