David Rockefeller has pledged $100-million to Harvard University, his alma mater. As with the other pledges, Harvard will receive the money upon Mr. Rockefeller's death.
Approximately $70-million of the pledge will support study-abroad programs for undergraduates, as well as internships and service and research programs in foreign countries. Some of that money will also provide annual stipends for undergraduates studying abroad who otherwise could not afford to do so.
The remaining $30-million will support arts programs. Most of the money will be used to build three new study centers where undergraduates can study original art works from the university's extensive holdings, including collections from the Fogg, Busch-Reisinger, and Sackler museums.
Mr. Rockefeller, retired chairman of Chase Manhattan Bank and the last living child of John D. Rockefeller Jr., graduated from the university in 1936. Over the years he has given Harvard gifts totaling $40-million. |

| The University of Notre Dame, in Indiana, has received $15-million from Robert F. Biolchini, a partner at Stuart, Biolchini & Turner, a law firm in Tulsa, and his wife, Frances, for renovations to its law-school building. Mr. Biolchini, a member of the university's Board of Trustees, is also president of PennWell Corporation, a media and publishing company in Tulsa. He graduated from Notre Dame in 1962 with a bachelor's degree in history. |

| Drexel University, in Philadelphia, has received $15-million from Earle Mack, retired senior partner of the Mack Company, a real-estate development, investment, and management firm in Edison, N.J., for the law school's endowment. Mr. Mack, who is also a former ambassador to Finland, graduated from Drexel in 1959 with a bachelor's degree in business administration. |

| California State University at San Bernardino has received a pledge of $12-million from John and Antreen Pfau, their daughter Elly Pfau, and their daughter Madelaine Pfau and her husband, Charles Jones. Most of the donation, $10.8-million, will support scholarships, and $1.2-million will go to the library. Mr. Pfau served as president of the university from 1962 until 1982. |

Arnold, retired chairman of Arnold Logistics, a cargo-transportation and storage provider in Camp Hill, Pa., that has since been sold, and his wife, Jeannie, a retired nurse. The couple's donation will support Scoutreach, a program for children and youths in urban and rural areas. Mr. Arnold is a former Boy Scout. |

James Clark, chairman of Clark Enterprises, a holding company in Bethesda, Md., to endow a deanship. Mr. Clark made the donation in honor of Benjamin T. Rome, the donor's business mentor and an alumnus of the university. Mr. Clark previously donated $10-million to the university to help build a biomedical-engineering research and education facility. |

Ms. Cassat, who was a private investor, died last September. |
