Think of ways your favorite TV show could develop plots or themes that feature volunteers for your favorite charity, and send us your story pitches — either in writing or on video. The Grand Prize winner will receive a $5,000 donation in their name to the charity of his or her choice. Two Silver Prize winners will each receive a $2,500 donation in their name to the charity of their choice.

The most creative pitch, script, or scene that best incorporates volunteerism
— written or video — into a TV show.
A written pitch/script that effectively incorporates volunteerism into a TV show.
A video pitch/scene that effectively incorporates volunteerism into a TV show.

The Chronicle of Philanthropy has gathered a panel of expert and celebrity judges, including Ashley Judd, to determine which entries best incorporates volunteerism into the shows.
The panel of judges will pick three winners from the following categories: the written pitch/script that best incorporates volunteerism into a TV show; the video pitch/scene that best incorporates volunteerism into a TV show; and the most creative pitch, script, or scene that best incorporates volunteerism—written or video—into a television show.
