DePauw University in Indianapolis has received a $25-million gift from a pair of alumni that will largely be used to support construction of a new dining facility, writes the Indianapolis Star.
The dining hall, plans for which were approved two years ago by the school’s trustees, will be named after donors R. David and Suzanne A. Hoover, both of whom graduated from DePauw in 1967.
The university’s current food-court-style dining facility, built to serve 350 students, now handles more than 1,000 a day.
