Daniel Wehrenfennig takes students from opposing sides of complex, deeply entrenched international conflicts—such as between Israel and Palestine or Turkey and Armenia—and helps them understand each other.
As the co-founder and executive director of the Olive Tree Initiative, he brings student and community groups to international conflict zones to see all sides of an issue and build understanding. Those visits, though, are only part of the experience for students.
Before they begin their journey, they spend time learning as much as they can about the conflict, how to express themselves and their views, and how to understand other people.
In this episode of Making Change, Mr. Wehrenfennig talks about the best ways to help people resolve conflicts.
